God’s Bountiful Dealings

Hello, I’m Doyle Davidson, servant and apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ ministering locally to the Body of Christ in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, sent by God to your house to declare unto you the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:3 and 4 tell us what the gospel is, how that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, he was buried, and he rose again the third day, according to the scripture.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, sent me to heal the broken hearted, preach deliverance to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, set at liberty them that are bruised.

The word is nigh thee, even in your heart and in your mouth, is the word of faith which I preach if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead you shall be saved, for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, it is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, the just shall live by his faith.

I want to welcome everyone to this broadcast…Kathie Davidson, co-host to my left, good morning. [Kathie: Good morning] How are you? [Kathie: I’m doing well] Bryan Bonner, co-host to my right, good morning. [Bryan: Good morning.]

Doyle: Thank you Father, thank you Jesus. Bryan would you lead us with a prayer? And then we are going to talk about the ministry enlarging and whatever.

Bryan: We have another opportunity, and we want to welcome you to the opportunity, to give God the praise, the glory and experience his power as moves in the earth by his Spirit to glorify his son. So, we are going to pray and give him praise:

Lord we thank you and we praise you for the privilege that you have given us this day to come boldly in your presence, because of the blood of Jesus. We thank you for the precious, sinless blood that Jesus shed for us that allowed us the privilege to be justified in your sight this day. Thank you that you have redeemed us from the curse of the law of Moses. We thank you that you sanctified us, that you’ve made us holy just like you, hallelujah. We thank you that you have imputed us righteous and now we can walk in your grace as we walk in faith. We thank you for the measure that you have given us and the strength that you’ve given us to glorify you and manifest your righteousness in the earth. We bless and praise your name, and we worship you in spirit and in truth. We submit ourselves to you and we resist the devil. And you promise that he will flee from us as we humble ourselves and pray and seek your face. Hallelujah. We press into the kingdom because Jesus told us that as we continue and strive for the kingdom we must press to get in. Hallelujah. We thank you and we bless your name, we give you the glory because you are worthy Lord and we thank you for your Spirit going forth in the earth Lord, manifesting the truth of the gospel to all the ears that can hear your voice. We bless you and praise your name for that great grace that you have extended to your people. We thank you Father and we praise you for victory, thank you Father in Jesus name, Amen.

Doyle: Hallelujah, KD do you have anything to exhort or pray?

Kathie: Yes I do. Do you want to talk first?

Doyle: Well I think I would like for you to and then I’ll talk. Then we are going to talk about what God is doing with Water of Life.

Kathie: Amen. I have some good news for you, turn with me to Mark 1:14,15. I want us to see something here, I want us to see something today.

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Preaching the gospel, the good news of the kingdom of God. What is that gospel? It says in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, that Jesus died for our sins, according to the scripture, that he was buried, that he was raised again according to the scriptures, that is the gospel, that is the bonafide definition of the gospel.

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:

The kingdom of God is with power, it’s with power, the kingdom of God is with power, (1 Corinthians 4:20). Now, how do you get into that kingdom? It says:

repent ye, and believe the gospel.

How do you get into that kingdom? Repent you, change the way you’re thinking, and believe the gospel. Now with that I want you to turn with me to Mark 4. I’m going to read about the parable of the sower and I want you to know that this parable used to offend me every time Doyle read it. He would get up here and he would say, “Turn to Mark 4,” and I’d roll my eyes, “Here we go again, here we go again with the parable of the sower.” I didn’t like the parable of the sower, in fact I despised the parable of the sower. You know why? Because it was an indictment to my heart, it was indicting my heart.

We are going to read it and we’re going to find out it doesn’t always have to be an indictment.

Mark 4:

3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

Oh, I love this, reminds me of Doyle.

4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

Then he goes on to say:

9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

And you know what the wonderful thing is? For those of you that wanted to be back in the time of Jesus, well we get to read what Jesus told his disciples, we get to hear the answer to that parable. They didn’t get to hear, but we do.

11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Now he goes on:

13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

This is the first one we’ve got to get, and I want to show you something about this parable. Oh, if you knew how much I [thought], “Oh, here we go again!” We are going to find out how lacking I was in the kingdom of God.

14 The sower soweth the word.

The sower soweth the word, now this is talking about the kingdom, he said if you want to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, and what did I just read to you in Mark 1? I said, “The kingdom of God is at hand. How do you get into that kingdom? You repent and believe the gospel. So for this word, at least part of that word is the gospel. The gospel is sown, because that gospel, to repent and believe the gospel, will get you into the kingdom. Now it says:

14 The sower soweth the word.

15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown [they hear the gospel] ; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, [when they have heard the gospel] immediately receive it with gladness;

17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

They hear the gospel, “Oh how great this message is!” Oh, I get emails, “Oh your message is so anointed, it’s so wonderful!” and then the next day they call you something.

18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

And back when Doyle used to minister this to us in the eighties and the nineties I would think, “Well I’m stuck somewhere between the stony ground and the thorns.” Not a good place to be and every time he would bring this up I would think, “There I am, stuck, can’t get out of here, am I ever going to get out of here?”

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it,

Now in Luke it says, “Hear the word and keep it,” so you receive it and keep it.

and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Now what’s the good news? Turn with me to Jeremiah 23:29, Jeremiah has a wonderful little verse stuck there, a precious verse.

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Breaks up that rock, that stony heart, that word will break it up. You know what the word of God is saying and what the Lord is saying? Keep sowing it, keep sowing that word in your heart because that word itself, it’s a fire and it’s a hammer and it well break up that stony ground. Turn with me to Hosea 10. I found out, it took awhile, that that parable of the sower was not just an indictment, it was a progression, and it was progressing me, as I sowed that word.

Hosea 10:

12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground:

Break it up, how do you break up that fallow ground? You keep sowing the word. That is why Doyle is so insistent that we take the word of God and we read it out loud. We sow the word, we break up that fallow ground, we break it up. We read the Psalms, we read the New Testament, we read Isaiah 52 and 53 out loud, and when we do we sow the word in our own heart and you know what happens? That ground is broken up and it keeps breaking up and it keeps getting more and more able to receive the word. I know when I first started this and the years beyond, there were times I’d read the word of God and my body would be totally numb, from head to foot it would just be numb as I read the word. Other times it was like somebody would punch me in the stomach, that word breaking up the fallow ground. People have had the word jump off the pages, why? Its sowing the word, breaking up your fallow ground. Read that word, sow it to yourself, sow it over and over. Don’t go to the movies, read the word of God. Don’t go to the football game, read the word of God. You know, twenty years from now there aren’t going to be any football games. I’m going to stop right there. Let’s have a song:

Doyle: Well I want to say, this is a happy day for Doyle. I’ve always been a pretty happy guy; it didn’t take a lot to make me happy. My mother said that about me, who could be a better witness than her? She said, “Easiest child she ever knew to make happy.” You don’t think she’d have been prejudice, do you? But she did tell God, “Give me a son and I’ll give him back to you.” Sure enough, that’s what happened.

I wanted to be a veterinarian. My family, the Davidsons were all horsemen—fine horses, nicely harnessed, their tack was sharp. My grandfather had fifty head of draft horses; they had buggy horses. My father dated my mother in a buggy with lights on it, drove five or six miles to get her; but the horses, fancy, really looked good, well dressed. They were horseman, so I had that in my blood. I had an affinity for medicine, but I had a greater one for a horse. I decided to be a veterinarian and I could work on fine horses, I just knew I could. Guess what? God let me do it. I built, north of Dallas, Texas—121 and 75, 121 Veterinary Hospital. It was an ultra-modern facility, large animal and small, surgery, both, four nice stalls for horses brought to my hospital for surgery, treatment. One day God said, “Sell it.” I was thirty-seven, thirty-seven years of age, “Sell it and obey me.” I had no choice, I did just that.

Kathie: I would like to interject here, not only was it an ultra-modern hospital, but you designed it.

Doyle: I drew the plans, I designed it, I had it built by Fab-Crete in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kathie: So it was your baby.

Doyle: It was my baby and it was on three acres on 121 and if you were going from Hwy. 75 to Fort Worth, you probably want 121, and if you drove through that country very much, you knew about 121.

Kathie: If you are driving south on 75 and you go under 121, under the many ramps and you look to your right, under sixteen feet of concrete is where 121 was. [A little laughter here.]

That’s what God thought of that hospital.

I had a great time, but in 1970, January 2nd, I drove away from it. I did not intend to look back, although I’ve thought about it more than once. I thought, “What a fool I am,” but no, that wasn’t true. God is in my life, he let me have a practice that amazed me. I had a good reputation by the Director of Clinics, Dr. Ebert, who was an equine man, member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, well respected and he gave me a high recommendation. Thank God, the Lord gave me a low one. You’re going to obey me. I loved nice things, fancy stuff, I loved it, but I could humble my self and walk very humbly, modest, very modest, but I liked nice things. So, when the Lord sold my hospital in 1970, from then on, 1970 to 1980, God taught me about him.

In 1980 he sent me to Plano, Texas to “…speak to the people of Plano” as a prophet and a teacher and I didn’t know that. God was doing things with me far above what I ever expected God to do. I thought I’d just be a preacher on a corner, of a small church. That was not God’s will. God had a plan for me far exceeding anything I could have imagined. I wouldn’t have guessed that I could walk where the great men of the bible walk. I grew up knowing about prophets, apostles, teachers, John Wesley doctrine; never thought I’d be one. God had a plan. I did things that I wouldn’t have thought I would’ve had to do. I suffered a lot, a lot, from 1970, especially 1973/4, had a national television broadcast, international shortwave radio, satellite, everything went well.

In 2009 God let the devil come down on me in a major way. My eyesight started [going down] quickly, because there wasn’t anything wrong with it, it was oppression of the devil, God allowing it to happen, to humble me, show me what was in my heart, show me that I would keep his commandments. I’ve been very blessed, greatly blessed to be a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and Jehovah, what a blessing, shocking. In December 2016, I was greatly surprised what took place on the 29th and the 31st of December, God started exalting me. I wasn’t looking for it, I wondered what I was doing, but I wasn’t expecting this.

Psalm 142:

1 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.

2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

Most certainly that was King David, but that psalm, I’ve walked similar steps. KD has lived with me since 2009, she watched my eyes go into darkness, she’s had to take a hold of my hand and lead me around. Terre brown entered in and has been a great help, picking out my clothes, what I wear, dressing me, both of them; I’m talking about Kathie D and Terre Brown.

But in 2017, the “righteous shall compass thee about”, that got my attention. And they would see how God dealt bountifully, and I would think, (and I love the song, that Terre Brown does so beautifully) “Who Am I?” Those are the words of King David, “who am I?” sitting before the Lord. In late 1974, or 1975, I had a seat before the Lord and I said, “The things that thou has spoken, concerning thy servant and his household, establish it forever and do as thou hast said.” I prayed that many times, not knowing what it meant. I’ve learned. In January 2017, I received $152,000 in three checks, coming from a person that happened to be from his father’s estate and the Lord told him, “Give it all.” My Lord, my Lord, what a blessing that man has coming. I gave my house away to my ministry, gave the money to the ministry, bought a new Cadillac that I can’t see to drive. KD is my chauffer. Is it Midnight Blue? [Kathie: Something like that, they call it something else, but I call it Midnight Blue.]

Doyle: Isn’t that model—that was the first year for it? What’s it called? [Kathie: A CT6.] CT6, I get to ride in it, belongs to the Lord , belongs to Water of Life; KD is the official driver.

But a few weeks back, God brought me another co-host, one that heard me more than twenty years ago on radio. You think I’m not overcoming? A few months back, whenever it was, Bryan Bonner came from California to Plano. The man can pray as well as any person I’ve ever heard pray. He’s better than most and I needed his help. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were in prison with praise, prayer, they came out. Revival started. Glory!

So, Sunday (12/3/2017), I got a check in the offering: $60,000. I said, “What do I do with this? What is this for?” God doesn’t give me $60,000 to keep. I thought “Well, I don’t what to do but put it in the treasury.” That’s where it’s been since Monday.

This morning at 2:00 AM, “Buy another Cadillac, just like you’ve got,” only you see, I happen to like white cars. I’ve drove I don’t’ know how many new Pontiac Catalinas, all but one were white; it was green and I never liked it. A man that I greatly admired, Grover Furr, Furr Motor Company Cadillac-Pontiac, McKinney, Texas said one day, “Pontiac has over thirty different colors of cars and Dr. Davidson thinks they are all white.”

Well I happen to respect him, and he did me, because I bought one to two cars from him every year. I said to KD this morning when God woke me up and I was praying, and told KD [what God had said] and I said, “I want to know if there is a white one.” Well we think there is, is that right? [Kathie: That’s right.] We know there is, is that right? [Kathie: That’s right.] So, you are going at about 2:30 to take a look, is that right? {Kathie: Right.]

Well that was cool. The Cadillac she drives has 12,000 miles, had it a year? [Kathie: Right.] I could see the Lord wanted Bryan Bonner to have that car. Great to get a new one, which is my car and yours, right? [Kathie: Right.] Its the Lord’s. KD is ready to get it, we’ll see but in two or three days, we’ll be bringing them both—KD in her white, Bryan driving the Midnight Blue, or whatever it is.

Folks let me tell you, God said I would be compassed by the righteous, and they would see that God dealt bountifully with me and keep adding to the righteous. Is that right KD? [Kathie: That’s right.] Glory!

Kathie: I do want to say something here, I remember when I was telling Dad about the first Cadillac, he couldn’t quite understand it and then I told him about the story of you being a veterinarian, when you went from being a veterinarian to a preacher you made one statement to God.

Doyle: Yes I did and I don’t mind you remembering it, and I don’t’ mind you telling it and I will say, “Yes I said it.”

Kathie: You want to tell it?

Doyle: Okay, the Lord took me out of a luxurious lifestyle and sent me to the wilderness to humble me, Deuteronomy 8:

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

And I have. So, one day I said to the Lord, (I’m not sure all I said) but I said this, “Don’t think I’m going to take a pay cut!” Did you know he never said, “Oh yes you will.”

Kathie: Abraham never took a pay cut.

Doyle: Now, I’ve been in a state of want, lack, but it didn’t last, because I would pray and complain. Pour my complaint out to the Lord.

Kathie: How many times I’ve heard you on the bicycle, “Lord, where’s my money?”

Doyle: That’s what I do, “Lord, where’s my money? Where is my money? Where is my money?” One day he said, “It’s on the way to your office,” with a man I knew, and he used his name. The guy said, “I wasn’t so impressed he knew I had the money,” It was just $400, but I still needed $400 and I can make some noise about $400.

Kathie: When you need it, you need it, it doesn’t matter what it is. [Doyle: That’s right,] But you know what, God proved your prosperity when you were a veterinarian, before you went into the ministry. You were not poor when you went into the ministry.

Doyle: I was poor, I was wretched—would you turn to Revelation and read about the church at Laodicea? I went to the Methodist Church once in a while.

Kathie: We didn’t discuss THIS in the Methodist Church.

Revelation 3:

14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Doyle: I will tell you, that was my great-grandfather’s family. James Madison Davidson, a Northern Methodist, died of tetanus, in 1911, seven days, and it changed the Davidsons’ hearts, you can read about it. But let me tell you, just because you go to church, just because you attend some building called a church, just because you think that you’ve got some kind of protection from going to hell, don’t kid yourself, your denomination will not keep you out of hell. Only Jesus Christ in your heart and the Father can keep you out of hell. Repent and believe my gospel.
