You Shall Receive Power After That The Holy Ghost Is Come Upon You (At the Garden Tomb)

Wednesday June 1, 2016 7:00 PM Livestream Broadcast

Hello, I’m Doyle Davidson, servant and apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ ministering locally to the Body of Christ in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas and sent by God to your house to declare unto them the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank God.

1 Corinthians 15:3 and 4 tell us what the gospel is, how that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scripture, he was buried and he rose again the third day, according to the scripture. Thank God.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, sent me to heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, set them at liberty that are bruised.

The word is nigh thee, even in your heart and in your mouth, that is the word of faith which I preach, if you’ll confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead you shall be saved, with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, the just shall live by his faith.

I’m Doyle Davidson, founder, apostle and prophet, of Water of Life Church of Plano, Inc. and apostle to the world. I want to welcome all of you to this broadcast. I want to talk about how God anointed me at the Tomb of the Garden in Jerusalem, June 16, 1974; but first let’s talk about how we got there.

I was born and raised in John Wesley Methodism, people with faith in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. 1970 God had ordered me to sell my veterinary hospital and veterinary practice, 121 Veterinary Hospital located just south at the edge of McKinney, north of Dallas, Texas, downtown, thirty miles. I had to obey God, I had to do what he told me to do and he started leading me in a way I would not have guessed, but he led me in a way that was pleasing to him.

In 1971, God sent me to south Florida, managing a small animal hospital. I was an equine practitioner and mostly large animal, but God didn’t care. He sent me to manage and operate Turnpike Animal Clinic, Opa Locka, Florida. There I became well acquainted with Derek and Lydia Prince. I visited their home many times and we would have good fellowship.

In 1974 I was at a Kenneth Copeland meeting in Fort Worth and God told me to give fifty dollars in that offering on a Sunday afternoon and he’d send me to Israel. I had no desire to go to Israel but I gave the fifty. In about three or four weeks I received a letter from Derek Prince saying that he and Lydia were going to lead a tour to Israel and they called it the Family Tour, I believe.

In a few days, God brought me some money and I paid the down payment to go. About six weeks passed, and it was time to pay the rest. We had only paid a little over 10 percent. A man from Florida that I knew well called me and said, “Doyle are you going to Israel?”

“Yes.”

“When are you going to pay?”

“I don’t know.”

“You don’t have the money?”

“I don’t have the money.”

“What are you going to do?”

“I don’t know.”

“You’re going to Israel?”

“Yes, God told me to.”

“Well, I’m going to put somebody else in your place.”

He put someone in my place and they died. Next morning he called me, “Doyle, you going to Israel?”

“Yes.”

“Have you got the money?”

“No.”

“Well, I’m going to put someone else in your place.”

He’d told me this man had died. So that night, one of the people that he had put in my place had emergency surgery. The next morning he called me, “Doyle you going to Israel?”

“Yes.”

“Do you have your money?”

“No.”

He said, “The one I put in place yesterday, one of them had emergency surgery. I don’t think I’m going to put anyone else in your place. “

I thought, “Ah-ha! You’re getting the message.”

So the next day they called and said, “You got the money?”

I said, “Nope, I sure don’t.”

“You going to Israel?”

“Yes.”

“What are you going to do for money?”

“I don’t know.”

That night a man called and said, “You going to Israel?”

“Sure.”

“You got the money?” “How much you got?” That’s just exactly what I said. I was not going to play.

He told me.

I said, “Just a minute,” and I added it up, “Is that what you’re going to give to this trip?”

He said, “Yes, and I said, “Good, we’re on our way.”

Before we left to go we had our plane tickets, we had our lodging, we had sack lunches and we had an evening meal and we had a hundred and thirty-three, one dollar bills.

I thought, “Surely God would give me a thousand.” God was teaching me, I was not used to traveling that way. One hundred thirty-three, one dollar bills.

We meet in New York, Prince Airlines; we fly to Tel Aviv. It was different; I had never been to Israel. I didn’t know exactly what we were looking at, I knew it was God. I just knew it was God. By that time I had learned a few things more about God that I once knew and I’ve done that today to.

So we go to the Garden Tomb, Sunday morning, June 16, 1974—Derek and Lydia Prince and all the tour. There were about forty-some of us. I was sitting on a bench and there was a man speaking, Jan Willem Van der Houven. I had never heard of him and about the time he started to speak the anointing of God fell in my heart. I sat there for a solid hour with the power of God burning in my heart Acts chapter 1 verse 8.

Paul Peters is going to read it to us:

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I’d never been anointed like that, never; never been around it as far as I knew; but those words were burning in my heart. I never told anyone, No one. Reverend Van der Houven was preaching, I don’t even remember what he said. No disrespect, the power of God was in my heart in a powerful way.

I knew it was God talking to me. Acts 1:8—I knew Acts 1:8. I knew that Acts 1:8 is what he said to the disciples when He went up. I knew somewhat, what was going on. I knew a whole lot. I thought, “What are you doing? What are you doing?” I knew God was saying, “This is to the world, to the world.”

But I want to back up. On Saturday* afternoon, 3:00 or 4:00, our party was walking in Jerusalem and we were told President Nixon was coming to Jerusalem and we were told where to go. We got on a street curb, it was actually a round corner, we were standing there and that was on Saturday*, that would be the 15th of June and there were sharp shooters on all the buildings and in a little bit here comes a limo and we were about twelve, maybe fifteen feet, I don’t know, we were right on the curb, wasn’t anybody there but a few of us, and Henry Kissinger came by. I didn’t know him, but I knew what he looked like, I knew it was Henry Kissinger. In a few minutes, maybe I’m not sure, two, three or four, whatever, another limo came; it was President Nixon, President Nixon. Thank God. [*Note: I realize that my speaking “Saturday,” was instead, Sunday afternoon. This has been confirmed by President Nixon’s Daily Diary.]

What’s interesting is on Sunday morning, at the Tomb of the Garden, God anointed me to the world. That anointing goes to everyone—kings, presidents, everyone, doesn’t matter and that anointing sent me to President Nixon. Oh ya, and to you and to anybody else. It covers the world.

On Monday, President Nixon addressed the Knesset; that would be the 17th of June. Oh, and let me back up, I believe there was a banner at the hotel that said, “Nixon, A Man of Peace,” I believe that is what it said. Did you know that less than two months later, President Nixon resigned, President of the United States?

On Tuesday night, the 18th of June, 1974, I was invited to speak by Derek Prince for ten minutes at Christ’s Church in Jerusalem. Thank God. And I went into the dining room and Derek and Lydia were sitting there and there were two empty chairs in the dining room and Derek stood up and said, “Doyle would you and Patti like to come here and set with us?”

“Sure”

We were setting there a couple minutes and he said, “Would you like to speak ten minutes tonight at Christ’s Church?”

I said, “Sure.”

I’d been teaching the bible quite a bit, church, home and other places. So I got up and excused myself and went up to my room and said, “Alright, now, what am I going to say?” He told me.

So I spoke just what Joshua said, “…as for me and my house, we’re going to serve the Lord.” [Joshua 24:15] I want to say while I’m at it, I have a daughter Kathy Mai, Kathy and Patti whose in heaven, were with me on that tour. What the Lord told me to tell them, that I had my house that would walk with me, Patti and Kathy and they did. Amen.

There was an attorney, Bill Subritsky, from New Zealand, came up to me after I got through speaking and he said, “Doyle, I am a lawyer.”

“Yes?”

“I’ve presented a lot of cases to judges and juries and I’ve heard a lot presented, judges and juries, but I’ve never heard anyone present anything so clear, so concise, in such short order.”

“Thank you.”

You know what? I knew that night Acts 1:8 took place. I was in Jerusalem and guess what? This man was from New Zealand. Hallelujah.

There’s a lot more to this, a lot, but I shortened it; the Lord did, condensed it; but I appreciated that the Lord brought together President Nixon, Henry Kissinger, Derek Prince, Lydia, Reverend Van der Houven, all, all together in Jerusalem on Sunday. Monday President Nixon spoke to the Knesset, but on Sunday, we were all right there in Jerusalem. I think that is very significant about my ministry.

I’ve got many things I could say, but they’re not that important. The important thing is the man that died—died; a man, that died, on the cross for us, he was buried, he went to hell and he was there three days. The third day, Jehovah, his Father, raised him from the dead. And that one that I’m talking about is the man, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Lord of Lords and King of kings, and he is the one that I obey his voice and preach his word.
