Who Am I?

God sent me to the wilderness, to Argyle in 1972, to be tempted of the devil as Jesus was led into the wilderness and tempted. God put me there and he taught me to pray.

I left everything that I owned at the direction of God in 1970 and drove away, not know where I was going. No man or no woman knew anything about what I was doing; only God. I obeyed him. I heard his voice. I did what he told me to do.

I had many doubts but I survived those years, telling myself and Patti and Kathy, if I missed God, I’ll build again. I knew I could. I knew I would. I had that kind of confidence and courage. I also thought I knew God was with me, that God had ordered my steps. I studied day and night. I prayed many hours in the night time because I didn't want to fail. I never failed in my life and I didn't want to start.

God led me to 2 Samuel 7. He talked to me. He said He was doing with me what he did with David. I couldn't comprehend that.

1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,

5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?

6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

God walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. Isn't that incredible? Do you see how God will humble himself to get down on our level?

7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?

8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

Notice here, God said of Solomon, “If he does iniquity, I will chasten (correct) him…” You see, people don’t believe that God’s people should be corrected, but God corrects us all.

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

He also said his mercy would not leave Solomon. God told me, “because you have obeyed me, my mercy will never depart from your house.” That’s why I survived everything and those that walk me are part of this house.

16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord God?

20 And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant.

21 For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.

22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

24 For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God.

25 And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.

God ministered this all to me, convinced me, that I like David, had a ministry that endured forever. The words he spoke, amazed me. Just as King David said, “Who am I O Lord God?” those were my thoughts, “Who am I Lord?” Even today it’s still difficult for me to talk about but it’s coming out.

I prayed verse 25 hundreds of times, assured that what God was saying, He was going to do for me. It was in my heart. To me, it was arrogant. But I was used to being arrogant. To me, it was egotistical. But I was used to being egotistical. I had a lot of confidence in what I could do and I didn't back down from anybody. So, that prayer seemed right to pray. I knew that David was taken from the sheepfold and I was taken from following the animals as a veterinarian, primarily horses and cattle, but specializing in horses. I thought, “Why not? Why couldn't this be me?” Do you know who was convincing me of that? God! It sure wasn't me.

“Establish what God had said to me forever.” I chose to be a fool. After all, nobody's going to know I'm a fool but God for praying this. I was crazy enough to believe this was God, because I knew that God had told me to sell out, no man or no woman, but God. He had proven things to me by this time. That's why I knew I could pray this prayer. I prayed it for about a year, fervently.

Now, I'm bold enough to tell you that what God had said to me in Argyle, he has brought it to pass today in Plano, in America and the world. I prayed that prayer. I got bold—I got real bold. If you put my back against the wall and I get desperate enough, I'll pray. In Argyle, I thought, “If God kills me, I'd be better off. Surely, I'd get to go to heaven.” It was difficult for me to believe that God would do a man that way.

At one point I said to the Lord, “I don’t know how much more of this I can stand,” and the Lord said, “Shut-up. You don’t know how much you can stand.”

But you know what? it came through. It came through—out of Argyle, out of Carrollton, back to McKinney. The day God told me to go back to McKinney in April of 1977, I was confident that I had been following God; I had proof.

Today I remain confident that I am following God, my proof is the fruit God is bringing forth.

I’ve have asked Kathryn to post this. there are more things that must be brought forth by the Spirit but at this time I cannot bring forth any more; but I would like you to listen to this song done by Terre Brown, Who Am I?

The Lord Has Brought Me Through

I as a young man once worked in a peach orchard for about two weeks. My job was to stand on a step ladder and take down the wormy peaches and those that were shriveled so the healthy ones would thrive. It was a lesson I would see take place in the future.

For years I preached the gospel and taught the Word to many people; in the US, Africa, and Mexico in person, and on television, radio, satellite, and shortwave all over the world, on some media five days a week. I watched many people prosper financially. I saw many healed. I saw a great number that had devils cast out of them. They would tell me what a great ministry I had. But in 2004 the day came when the power of darkness was loosed on my ministry and they became offended. They rejected me, despised me, they scattered.

In the 1990’s I began giving all my teaching tapes and their albums away free of charge. Then in 2002 the Lord instructed me to throw all those tapes away and their albums and instructed everyone to do the same.

When the power of darkness came they were greatly offended at of my obedience to the Lord. They accused me, they railed against me, they lied about me, and they were determined to bring my ministry down to nothing. I received many letters telling me of their intent to empty the blue chairs in my sanctuary.

I was never discouraged. However, I have been filled with disappointment. God has been leading me to overcome the sins of God’s people laid upon my soul.

Psalm 143:

3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

I am grateful and thankful that the Lord didn’t believe all that that was said about me. Like Jesus told Abraham in the 18th chapter of Genesis he was going down to visit Sodom and Gomorrah to see if what he had heard was true, Jesus came to my ministry. The accusations brought against me Jesus checked out for himself and found them to be false.

Genesis 18:

17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

The words that I have spoken judged many that departed from me.

I went through tough days but the Lord led me and brought me through. I have put off most of the sins of God;s people that they put on me that brought me low. God brought my ministry back. We are on television in all 50 states via World Harvest Television. We are on Live-stream, Roku, Apple TV, YouTube, and some shortwave all over the world, preaching the gospel.

God is able to make this servant stand!

Romans 8:

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Romans 14:

4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Oh How I Love Jesus

Transcribed and edited from:
Sunday May 29, 2016 10:00 AM Livestream Broadcast

1962 I graduated from the University Of Missouri School Of Veterinary Medicine. In February 1963 God sent me to McKinney, Texas; a city of 15,000, located thirty miles north of downtown Dallas, Texas. God sent me here with great connections. I was a veterinarian, as I just said, but He had prepared some well known, well established horse people, equine.

One man had 300 head of broodmares, six stallions, and he said to me in Missouri, “If you’ll come to Texas I’ll give you my business.” It was God that opened everything up. That man’s name was Carl Miles, C Bar Ranches, Celina, Stephenville and Abilene, Texas.

These people were very generous to me, very generous. For seven years I established and practiced in a very ultra-modern veterinary hospital. In 1969 God said, “Sell it.” [My hospital] was located on 121 just west of U.S. 75, a very prominent location, where, if you went to Dallas you’d miss it but if you came to Dallas to go to Fort Worth you’d turn on 121 and there it was. God did that, but he wanted me to know it was going to be sold.

It was amazing, but in 1970, the second day of January, I drove away, not knowing where I was going. I went to [south] Florida for one year, 1971 to May 1972 and then God sent me back to north Texas. He sent me to a city, a small place, named Argyle, Texas in Denton County; a county just adjacent to the one I’m in now, Collin County.

Now I was born again, speaking in tongues, casting out devils, healing the sick, anointed of God. God put me in a house on 6 ½ acres in Argyle, Texas, south of Denton about five or six miles. In a few weeks, a car pulled in to our place, down our driveway. A man and his wife got out, walked up to our little office and said, “I’m Dr. Joe Lynn, this is my wife, Judy. Who are you?”

I said, “Doyle Davidson.”

“What brought you to Texas?”

“God sent us.”

“God sent you here?”

“Yes.”

Joe Lynn, named Joseph A. Lynn, MD., board pathologist, Baylor University, worked as a pathologist all the time. He was thirty-three years old, three children, I was forty. He said, “God sent you here?”

I said, “Yes.”

I talked to Joe and Judy and Pat was there of course, about Jesus, about the Lord Jesus.

I said, “Did you know that God had a plan for your life, Doctor?” And I asked him, “Do you know what it is?”

He left and in a little while he called me and said, “Man you have challenged me.”

I asked, “How’s that?”

“You said God had a plan for my life.”

“Well everybody knows that,” I said.

Joe said, “Then you said, ‘Do you know what it is?’ and he went on to say, “Well, I don’t, can you help me?”

A humble, thirty-three year old pathologist; [he] had written several papers, [he was] a well known pathologist, [from] a prominent family , Dallas dentists. Roland Lynn [his father] owned 600 acres a little south of where we lived on our 6 ½ and Joe and Judy lived on 160, just south of us.

I told him [Joe] about Jesus.

He said, “I know about Jesus.”

I said, “Are you born again.”

“I believe I am.”

“Does Jesus live in your heart?”

“I believe he does.”

“Well you need to know it.” I said, “Let me tell you about the baptism in the Holy Ghost and when you get it, it’s the second experience and you’re going to speak in tongues.”

This is an MD, a man with a great mind, a great reputation and he said, “Did you know I’m thirty-three, I have three children, and if I didn’t have those three children I would put a gun to my head and blow my brains out.”

I said, “No you wouldn’t; no you wouldn’t Doctor. You’ve got to know about this Holy Ghost.”

He went home and in about an hour, he called me. By now we called one another, Doyle and Joe, we’re friends immediately.

He said, “Doyle, I have to tell you—I was in my shower and I was talking to Jesus about this Holy Ghost.”

I said, “Ya?”

“[I said] I want it, and out of my mouth came some Latin words.”

“Latin?”

“Yes. I knew some Latin but I didn’t know what I’d said, so I got out of the shower and I looked it up.”

[Joe] had said in Latin, “I am the Lord thy God.”

Joe said, “Do you believe that?”

“Ya, do you? I told you that you were going to know the Lord.”

He continued to practice as a pathologist, Baylor Hospital; just one post-mortem autopsy/necropsy after another. He would come and talk to me. “Doyle I feel terrible.”

I said, “God’s going to do something with you.”

One day he came to me and said, “You know I think God is telling me, (now Joe talks like Doyle), God is telling me to become a clinical pathologist.”

I said, “Well I believe that’s God. At least you’re working with live specimens.”

So, he said, “There are tests I don’t know much about.”

“You will.”

I think it was San Diego where he took his clinical pathology boards and when he got back he couldn’t wait to come see me.

He said, “Hey, you know what happened? All the tests that I needed to describe, talk about, on that Clinical Pathology Board Examination, some physician had asked me to do that test in a clinical pathology lab, I [had] studied them and I knew the answer to every one of them.”

I said, “Joe, you think God’s with you?” “I think so.”

He became an ambassador of Jesus Christ and Doyle Davidson preaching the gospel. He was Presbyterian and he attended the First United Methodist Church in Argyle [I don’t’ know if he ever joined], and the next thing I knew everyone in the First United Methodist Church of Argyle knew about Doyle and Patti. I ended up teaching a men’s meeting on Saturday morning, fifty to sixty business and professional men at the Argyle United Methodist Church.

It was an interesting thing to watch Joe; he was a bold physician, but he loved Jesus; now he loved Jesus—he wanted to talk about Jesus. He attended every kind of church that you could imagine. One of the funniest, and I tell funny stories: he joined with a group in Denton, Texas, a bible church group; they were forming a new church. So they had this meeting to form this church and they start talking about all of these various things that you do to establish a church.

Joe was bold and intelligent, I’ve said this, and loved Jesus, by now and spoke in tongues and wasn’t afraid to tell you so. And when the DTS group [I believe is right, at least a bible group] that were establishing this, came up with dispensationalism, Dr. Lynn said, “Well why don’t we just leave that out?”

My Lord, that bunch of religionists rose up and wanted to kill him. He got out and he came back to see me and he said, “These people are vicious.”

I said, “You better know there vicious. They hate God.”

He said, “I can’t believe this.”

There was a woman evangelist that bought twelve acres not very far from my house and not very far from Joe’s house and she was a well known woman, evangelist. She had a very famous brother, President Jimmy Carter. Her name was Ruth Carter Stapleton. Now I don’t want to insult anybody but I serve the Lord and I fear God more that I do man. She had a very beautiful location and she would invite prominent people, people with money to come to her seminars.

One day Joe stopped and he said, “Doyle, I met Ruth Carter Stapleton.”

“Yes, I know who she is.”

He said, “I’ve been invited to come to her seminar.”

“Is that right?”

“Would you and Patti go?” he asked.

“No.”

“Why? Look, she said, ‘Bring a friend.’”

I said, “Joe, I’m not going, not going at all.”

So he and Judy go and they get Dr. Lynn, Judy his wife, and all the people that were present down on their knees, crawling in a circle, rubbing noses with one another.

Dr. Joe came back, “Doyle you’re the only man I’ve met that has got his head screwed on right.”

I said, “I told you, these people are funny, they’re not my style. But I speak in tongues but I don’t think they do.”

Joe told many people about Doyle Davidson, about a veterinarian that sold everything he had and started serving the Lord.

One day Kathy Mai got a job working for him and when God sold my property in Argyle (I was living in Carrollton by then) and sent me back to McKinney to practice veterinary medicine in a very small office without good equipment, just minimal work. God moved Dr. Joseph A. Lynn, pathologist, of all places, to Wysong Clinic in McKinney, Texas: Scott Wysong, Charlie Wysong, Dudley Wysong, physicians, I knew them all; I took care of their animals and Joe goes to work there. He takes my daughter Kathy Mai, her job went with him at Wysong Clinic, actually Wysong Hospital.

It was God bringing Joe and well, his name; he was a prominent person, much bolder than me, much bolder. But did he talk about Doyle Davidson’s ministry? I guess he did. He talked it up all the time. “This man sold everything he owned to follow Jesus.”

Dr. Lynn, a great friend, went to heaven in May 1998, he was 59. I’ll always appreciate what Dr. Lynn did for my ministry, just telling people about it.

I have to back up just briefly. I met a man named Jack Gray, Tyler Street Methodist Church. His wife was Revas, she was Dean of Women, Oral Roberts University. Jack did a meeting at Argyle United Methodist Church; Samuel Hargrove was the minister.

(We are kind of changing men here but God wants this brought out.)

Jack Gray did a meeting at Argyle United Methodist Church and they asked me and Patti if we would counsel the people.

I said, “I don’t know, I really don’t have much that I can do.”

“Yes you do.”

So I finally asked the Lord, “Do you want us to do that?”

“Yes.”

So I said, “Ok, I will do it. I will work the altar, providing that I can ask people to be born again.”

“Well we don’t care what you do.”

I said, “Well good, I don’t care either.”

So Pat and I sat at the altar, behind it and people would come up and I would say, “What do you want from the Lord?” and they’d say, “I want to re-dedicate,” and they’d slap my hand.

“Re-dedicate? Do you know Jesus?”

“I want to re-dedicate.”

I thought, “What in the world is this?” Not one of them, not one of them wanted to know about Jesus; they wanted to re-dedicate.

Look folks, by the time I came back to McKinney, I knew all the leaders of the First United Methodist Church in McKinney. They were friends of mine; I used to attend that church. So, I went back immediately [when I returned to McKinney.] I went back and there was a pentecostal preacher, Assemblies of God preacher, R.B Ring, and I knew his wife very well. His first wife, I’m not sure what happened but he [married] Velma Hamm. [Velma] was a good friend of mine, both her and her husband who had passed away, and her son Everett, who was a Sunday School superintendent at the First United Methodist Church, McKinney.

Velma came to my office and I talked to her and she said, “Doyle, that’s lovely.” She told me about her husband, R.B. Ring and First United Methodist Church, McKinney. God is moving in my life.

So, R.B. comes to my office on Friday and he said, “I’m going out of town and I want you to take my Sunday school class in First United Methodist Church of McKinney on Sunday; will you do it?” I said, “Sure.” I knew everyone, all the leaders; so I go.

God told me “Always teach the quarterly; don’t do anything but what’s in the quarterly,” so that’s what I did, I followed it. I get up and in this Methodist quarterly it says, How to Cope. I said, “I’m not going to tell you how to cope, I’m going to tell you how to overcome.”

My Lord, they looked at me like, “We know you but we didn’t know you were this silly.”

After I got through teaching, I left and went down near the pastor’s office, Dr. Wilson Canafax. There stood Everett Hamm, Sunday school superintendent; there stood the Administrative Board chairman, Gibson Caldwell. Not only that, but here comes Laude Howell, a great friend of mine I knew since 1963, Howell Furniture Company. He walks up said, “We need this man teaching in this church, now!”

They said, “Of course. Where do you want to teach?”

“Well, where do you want me to go?”

They said, “Well, you fit in the fellowship class.”

I said, “Ok” and I go to the Fellowship class, they are all about my age and it wasn’t long and they asked me if I’d fill in teaching Sunday School; so I did.

My friends, it grew—it grew.

Here is a song ministered by Terre and the Browns with Paul Peters called "Oh How I Love Jesus:"

God Is Gathering His People Through My Gospel

In 1963 God sent me to McKinney, Texas as a practicing veterinarian. There I met and worked for a very good friend, J.P. Derryberry, DVM. Dr. Derryberry was a real kind-hearted person. He had a partner, Dr. Elmo King, so in effect I worked for both of them for a period of eleven months. During those eleven months God was establishing me in McKinney and Collin County as a veterinarian.

I opened my own practice January 1, 1964 and designed and built 121 Veterinary Hospital just a few short years later.

I always believed Jesus Christ was the Son of God and I met several Collin County residents that had the same belief; Dr. Derryberry was one of them. I met Tom Watkins, from the Rhea Mills community. Tom had some love for Jesus.

I met David Avery, DDS who became my dentist. I met George Webb; I met Everett Hamm; I met Henry Myrick; I met Paul Wilson, MD; I met Ed Veigel, a McKinney lawyer; I met Jerry Sims, MD; I met Jim Wilson, MD; I met Scotty Long; I met James Stewart, a banker; I met Laud Howell, Howell Furniture and Dr. Mack Hill, pediatrician.

These men were all local leaders in McKinney, Texas. I met many others that became good friends of mine.

In 1970, at the direction of God, I sold 121 Veterinary Hospital and my practice. God sent me to Florida for eleven months in 1971 and while there God directed me to pray for revival in North Texas.

I returned to Texas in May 1972 and God sent me into the wilderness and during those years in the wilderness, I lived in Argyle, Texas.

In 1977 I returned to McKinney where I opened a new office for my veterinary practice and purchased a home in Fairview. Soon after returning, God sent me to the First United Methodist Church of McKinney where I became a lay speaker.

In 1980, I started Water of Life Church of Plano, Texas and in January 1981, moved into our current location. I went on radio in 1981 and television in 1984.

All, except Paul Wilson, who died in a car wreck, knew about my obedience to God. They heard me on radio; they watched me on television. They were great friends in the flesh.

Dr. Avery, my dentist, said to me one day, “I wish I had your courage.”

“You do David,” I said.

“No Doyle,” he responded, “I don’t.”

In the 1980s Patti and I were having lunch at Wyatt’s Cafeteria and Dr. Derryberry and his wife were there having lunch as well. After lunch we talked and I said to Dr. Derryberry,

“If you would die now, are you sure that you’d go and be with Jesus?”

Dr. Derryberry, a pleasant person, said with a big smile. “Doc, I know I’d be with him.”

“That’s all I want to know,” I said, “I’ll see you in heaven.”

My friends, I know that God has shown me in the Spirit that many people that I’ve mentioned and many that I’ve not mentioned, and that are deceased are with Jesus. I expect to see every one of them, along with their families, when I meet Jesus in the air.

God Bless,

Forgiveness of Sins

Here is what I taught in Water of Life Christian Training School (beginning in September 1983 through May 1990) concerning forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

I John 1

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. The light is the gospel, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

If you will obey these verses from I John 1:7-10 here is what will happen to your sins.

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Micah 7

18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham

Hebrews 8:12

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews 10:17

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Jeremiah 31

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. If the Lord remembers your sins and iniquities no more neither will you, when they are forgiven and purged from your conscience to serve the living God.

Hebrews 9

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

These dead works happen to be your works of sin. Then you will be justified, just as if you had never committed the sin.

Romans 3

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

I am praying for you that all this will be accomplished in you,

Colossians 2

1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

God bless,

God Sent a Prophet to Plano, Texas

Transcribed from:
Monday May 23, 2016 11:00 AM Livestream Broadcast

Hello, I’m Doyle Davidson, a servant and apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ ministering locally to the Body of Christ in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, sent by God to your house to declare unto you the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15: 3 and 4 tells us what the gospel is, how that Jesus died for our sins, according to the scriptures, he was buried, he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, sent me to heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captive, recovery of sight to the blind, set at liberty them that are bruised.

The word is nigh even in your heart and in your mouth, that is the word of faith which I preach, that if you will confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead you shall be saved for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith as it is written the just shall live by his faith.

I want to welcome everyone to this bc receiving it on Livestream, Roku, Apple TV, Youtube and other devices.

Paul peters my co-host to my left, good morning, Paul. [Paul: Good morning]

I’m going to ask you to read Chapter 1,2 and 3:1-20, in the book of Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 1:

1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,

3 The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.

4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

Ezekiel 2:

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Ezekiel 3:

1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.

13 I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.

14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.

15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Amen. You know I just noticed something in the cherubims: one had the face of a man, one an ox, one an eagle and what was the other one? [Paul: a lion] That’s what I thought, Jesus. [Paul: Amen]

March 1979, the Lord woke me up, sent me to a bedroom in the northwest corner of my house in Fairview. There he talked to me. He told me he was sending me, I’ll reduce it, to America, when I read what you just read, verse one up to chapter 3, that they wouldn’t hear me but they would know that a prophet had been sent to them. Since that time, things have changed, changed a great deal.

1970 I had sold 121 Veterinary Hospital and my practice and obeyed God. In 1980 Judge Ryan, a district judge in Collin County directed Dr. Starnater, a veterinarian in Plano to contact me and to tell me that 121 was in receivership and he had administration of it and I knew more about it than anyone else, so he wanted to give me opportunity to buy it. [The judge] said, offer this much, if that’s too much, offer this much, if that’s too much, make me an offer and I’ll give it to you. Those were strange words to me. I didn’t know how low I could go; I knew the property, I built it. I bought the land, I founded it, I built the hospital, established the practice. That was in February of 1980.

I wrestled for three days with that idea of buying that property back. I knew I could make a lot of money, I knew it, I knew that when I built it. For three days, the Lord would say, “Do you want it? Do you want it?” Three days! Three days, Jesus Christ raised from the dead [said], “Do you want it?”

I’d pray.

“Do you want it?”

The third day I said, “Wait a minute, it’s not what I want, it s what you want!” and then he quit talking to me. I was amazed. Finally he said, I was insistent, I can be persuasive if I need to be. I can be persuasive with the Lord if I need to be, he made me that way. I said, “It’s not what I want, what do you want?” He would not answer. Finally, finally he said, “I don’t want you to have it.”

I thought, “What—what if I had said yes?!” I felt like I was the bottom of the ninth in a great baseball contest and I could make a right decision and win the game or I could make the wrong and lose it; and I felt like, “My goodness what if I’d of lost it?!” that was February 1980.

April I was going to Justin, Texas, Bobby Seals, calf roper, World Champion and World Champion bull rider, I think; I knew him and Sholders, and several of them. And I was in Lincoln Park, on 380, and the Lord said to me, “Go to Plano and speak to the people of Plano.” And I said, “And what shall I say to them?” “Look in the book of Acts where Paul was in Antioch and you’ll understand.” I read the eleventh, but then thirteen; Paul would you read, Chapter 13, verse one:

Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Five prophets and teachers right? [Paul: right.] There’s Paul/Saul and there’s Barnabas and I’m a pretty good student of the bible and “Go to Plano, and speak to the people of Plano” and “read about where Paul was sent to Antioch and you’ll understand”. I thought, “Are you telling me I’m a prophet? A teacher, yes that I can accept but not a prophet. I’m not a prophet, my father was not a prophet.” I think that was said later, by me, to the Lord, I’m not sure when, but the Lord said “Someone else said that before you.”

Turn to Amos chapter 7:

14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:

15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel. Well that’s what I said, but“

Amos had one more credential than I’ve got, he gathered sycamore fruit and I haven’t done that. I knew I was had. I knew it. I knew I was a prophet sure enough. My Lord, I did not want to be a prophet. I could read what happened to prophets. I knew that a prophet was a teacher, and one that established a ministry first, a church, but not a church, a ministry, the Body of Christ and when he was sent he became an apostle. Oh, I knew.

Well I came to Plano, you can read about it [here] and then in 1985 I was sent to Zimbabwe as an apostle. I knew I was a prophet sent to Plano, I knew that. I knew a man was a prophet and no, a woman is a prophetess, not a prophet, and a woman is not an apostle. I knew well that judgment would come through that prophet; to wherever the Lord sent a prophet or an apostle, judgment followed.

I’ve lived all these years knowing that one day Plano would be judged. And I’m telling you it won’t be long. It’s already started; it started in 2004 when the power of darkness came upon the city, my ministry, the county. I’ve had shaky days knowing that Plano would see some ugly things because I was sent here by God as a prophet. Amen. I was really disappointed in this ministry, because the people wouldn’t believe, but God told me they wouldn’t in 1979.

So one day, Terre Brown who can be strong, not can be, is, came to me and she was pretty disturbed, somewhere in 2004, or 2005, not sure, but she was hot in spirit and she said, “How are we ever going to believe when all you say to us is ‘You’re not believing?’” and my response went back to her about as quick as hers went forth to me, “Well how are you ever going to know that you’re not believing unless someone tells you you’re not believing.”

She’ll have to comment, but she made a change and I want to make sure she gets adequate comment time, she will.

There’s another lady that sent me an email and she said, “When we came to Water of Life we didn’t have any money; we lived in a house that the sheetrock wasn’t even finished and curtains, window treatments, hung over the doors and we’ve given this much money to Water of Life; I’d like to say we believe something.”

I’d like to say that too on your behalf. Are you believing that, today? Are you following the Lord? Are you following the Holy Ghost? Are you believing the gospel? Or are you doing your own thing?

One thing you, all of you will know: a prophet was sent to Plano.

You got anything to say? [Paul: No I don’t.]

I loved hearing you read that. I don’t think I ever noticed about the man, the lion, the eagle and the ox. I’m sure I had but Lord, all of a sudden I thought my gosh, that eagle is the United States, a man, an ox, a lion, Jesus, an elder, an apostle, prophet, amen, sent by Jesus to Plano, then America, then the world.

In 1992 I went national and international, in February, television, satellite, radio, shortwave. Amazing what God has done with someone that didn’t want to do the job. The Lord told me in 2007, “…he made me for this job.”

[Paul: I will say, on your website there is a series of testimonies called “The Making of a Prophet”, I guess that’s how God showed you or proved to you that you were a prophet.]

I have to tell you and the world something, turn to Jeremiah 18, “the potter’s wheel” and read until you get to the word “and I will cause you to hear my word.”

Jeremiah 18:

1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. That is for certain, I heard it because the Lord caused me to hear it. Thanks for the word, “The Making of a Prophet”, good Lord who would have thought.

I believe its Ephesians 3:20: Let’s take a chance and see if this isn’t God, it says something that is astonishing:

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

[Ezekiel 1:10]

The cherubims, there is a man, then there’s an ox, then there’s a lion and then there’s an eagle. The man is an apostle, the ox is an elder, the lion is Jesus, the eagle is America—Daniel 7:4.

Turn, Kathie, to 1 Peter 5 and see what Peter says about himself:

1 Peter 5:

1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Peter said he was an elder and we know he was an apostle; I’m an apostle, I’m an elder that grinds out the corn; Jesus crucified, in me; America, the eagle, the gospel, going around the world, all over the world from Plano, Texas.

Amen.

Ezekiel 1-3

These three chapters of Ezekiel God dealt with me in 1979 in the month of March. He told me He was sending me to the United States of America and America would not hear me, they would not hearken unto me for they would not hearken unto God. I have preached this gospel publicly through Water of Life Ministries since January 1980.

Sunday morning I had a vision of a scorpion. It looked like it was walking out from under a bed. It had eight legs that were red and arched, the body was black. The body was about two inches wide and about 8 inches long. I could not see it’s tail but when God opened up the vision to me the creature started moving and stinging. I could hear it stinging. Since that morning I have not seen it again, but I can hear it stinging. This is what God spoke to me through Ezekiel, “thou dost dwell among scorpions”.

John 12:

47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

22 And the hand of the Lord was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.

24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

Faithful Is He Who Calleth

Deliverance from foreclosure - 1621 18th Street (From “A Work of Righteousness”)

1980

During the early part of 1980 I was a practicing veterinarian in McKinney, Texas and a lay speaker in the First United Church of McKinney. It had been ten years since I had sold my animal hospital, my farms and my investments at the direction of God to follow Him. While in McKinney that same hospital I sold had gone into receivership and was offered back to me by a judge. The Lord asked me, “Do you want it?” I fasted for three days in making the decision. At the end of three days the Lord asked me again, “Do you want it?” I replied back, “It is not important what I want, it is important what you want!” He finally replied back to me, “I don’t want you to have it.” That was the test, and I had passed. Six weeks later on the way to see a horse, I was driving through Lincoln Park, a small town in north Texas, and the Spirit of God spoke to me. “Go to Plano and speak to the people of Plano.”

I considered what was said and then asked, “What do I say?” The Lord answered, “Read when Paul went to Antioch and you will understand.”

Acts 11:25,26 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Acts 13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

I understood after reading at the direction of God that I was a prophet and teacher sent to the people in Plano.

Several months later I was asked to speak to a group of people already meeting in Plano. I spoke my first message in Plano on August 3, 1980 at Meadows Elementary, a school just down the street from our current location.

Soon after I began to look for a building to house the ministry. I went to look at the site we have now. It was then owned by the Church of Christ; a 16,000 square foot building on 2 ½ acres. After the initial walk-through I said to myself, I wouldn’t have this place. But after two weeks of no sleep I asked the Lord what He wanted. It was His will for me to buy it, so I began the negotiations.

On November 24, 1980, Water of Life Church of Plano, Inc. was chartered.

1981

After negotiations with the Church of Christ we purchased the building for $380,000. We paid $50,000 down, which God provided from a group of people that joined me. The monthly payments began at about $3,800 a month.

The sanctuary would seat 440 people, the Fellowship Hall, 250-300. The building had 26 classrooms.

On January 4 the ministry moved into the building. We began with a congregation of about 85 people, which included men, women and their children. It wasn’t long after the congregation dropped to 53. Some became offended in the teaching of the truth and the power of God working so the Spirit of God drove them out.

At the end of eight months a group joined us from the Church of the Resurrection led by Eddie Boltin.

1982

January we had the first $30,000 payment due on the property and even with a small congregation it was paid, along with the continued monthly payments of $3,800.

By March we were now on twenty radio stations five days a week. The area covered stretched from New York, to Florida, to California, and from the Gulf Coast to Canada.

In June a small group of twelve traveled to Mexico to pass out bibles. While there I also spoke in several of their churches along with casting out devils and healing the sick.

I purchased some oil stock and the church was given some oil stock in a company in Oklahoma. In October the stock was valued at $123,000.

I closed my veterinary practice in December.

1983

The year began with a $100,000 payment on the property due on January 10th, but myself and the ministry had purchased the oil stock valued well over that amount several months before. It was at this point I made a great mistake. This was a major event that would teach me something about my faith. The oil company sold in November of 1982 and was to close on January 10, 1983. But on the 7th the bank in Midland Texas, where the purchaser of the oil company had a seven million-dollar line of credit, went into receivership. The oil company was unable to sell and Water of Life Ministries lost $123,000. When the oil company announced it was being sold and I was to receive the money in January, I stopped believing because I thought I already had it. I have learned from this experience not to stop believing whatever God has given you to do until it is in your hands.

I couldn’t make the payment. There wasn’t $100,000 in this group of people. As I recall I paid $52,000 toward that payment between January and April, at which time foreclosure papers were filed on the building. It would be finalized in May. The Church of Christ announced to their congregation that “these poor people are going to lose their property.”

Seven days before the foreclosure was finalized a man received a large inheritance from his grandfather’s estate in an amount well over what he was expecting. He then in turn gave Water of Life Ministries a check for $50,000. It paid the $100,000 in full.

I then went to a bank with which I did business as a professional and borrowed enough to pay off Pitman Creek Church of Christ. The banker said to me frankly, “I won’t lend any money to a church, but I will lend it to you.”

This act of God, saving the property from foreclosure, proved to me that God was with this ministry.

That miracle of money encouraged me many times over the years when I faced large television, radio, airplane charter and so forth. I made a decision when I started my ministry that I would always pay in advance and if the money wasn’t there a day or two before it was due I stood up to God and most every time my words would be, “Where is my money?”. I never failed to pay everything by the due date. I watched God come through with $50,000 to $60,000 every week, never failed. I stopped taking up offerings July 1, 1996 (that will be 17 years this Monday). This ministry has been out of debt since 1985. I never asked for money and I never told anyone my needs. A lot of days I needed the money to pay by Friday and on Wednesday might still need $20,000 or $30,000, but it was always there. God is faithful who calleth who also will do it (I Thessalonians 5:24).

A testimony I must share. Sometime in the 1990’s money was tight. I always made sure that I mailed on Friday, most of the time I mailed on Wednesdays, but now I was on Fridays. I just had great amounts that I had to mail by Friday, and every week every Friday I would just barely make it. This went on for three or four weeks and I started talking to God. I won’t tell you all that I said, but I did say, “If you don’t bring this money or if there is a Friday that I don’t have it, I will send a letter to every television station cancelling my programs! If you don’t think I will do it…!” And all of a sudden I saw with my own eyes money floating in the Spirit and I knew a change was near. A lady from Indiana called me and said that her mailbox had been run over and God said “Go put it in your neighbor’s mailbox”. She told me, “I know you have been praying and saw that money floating in the Spirit”.

65 Acres of Wheat

Lyle Davidson, Doyle's dad finished his freshman year of high school in the spring of 1922, and that was the end of his formal education. His dad, Luther Davidson and the entire Davidson family with spouses, moved to the Rolla, Missouri area to begin work on a section of Highway 66 in the fall. The year before, when Lyle was just fourteen years old, he planted 65 acres of wheat.

Those who are familiar with farming know the soil has to be prepared before planting can begin. Plowing, disking, chiseling, and harrowing are some of the operations performed to prepare the ground in those days and still are, for that matter. Lyle used a moldboard plow and the plow shear on a moldboard can be 12", 14" or 16" and there are also implements with double or triple plows, and some were made with wheels that the driver could be seated on and drive the team. The moldboard plow turns the ground completely over, burying weeds and the residue from the former crop and bringing the dirt from beneath up over the top. The chisel plow cuts deep and can be used to break through "hardpan". The disk plow breaks the rough soil up finer and kills weeds that are coming on. The spring tooth harrow is usually the last implement used before planting to smooth and level and again kill small weeds that might have sprouted between operations. The drill is then used to plant the grain. Later, some crops are cultivated with a cultivator implement after the crop is a few inches tall, to kill weeds in between rows and aerate the soil.

One can understand by the above description that planting 65 acres of wheat with horses was not a simple task and not only would it take physical strength, but it would require a fair amount of skill. Lyle shared with Doyle about planting those 65 acres, and that fall, he began work on the road crew for his dad, Luther Davidson when the family moved to the Rolla area. Planting that wheat crop was training for the job ahead and Lyle proved his ability in plowing with a team not only to himself, but to his dad. Luther's wisdom in sending what many would call a boy, out to do a man's job is evident; he was raising men, preparing them for the world. Doyle has said, "There was no room for weakness with the Davidsons".

On the road, Lyle's job was to run the plow to break up the ground and then the team with the "slip" would come along and gather up the loosened soil to build the road and Lyle also ran the slip. It should come as no surprise after hearing how Lyle was raised and what his dad, Luther expected of him, that Lyle expected no less of Doyle. He sent Doyle out to bid jobs and apply for permits when he was just fourteen. He'd say, "Go on, you can do it." One could venture to guess that Luther told Lyle the same thing, "Go on, you can do it." Doyle helped his Dad move houses, driving truck and working alongside his dad's crew and there was no special treatment because he was young, or the boss' son. He was expected to carry his weight alongside the rest of the men and they told him as much.

As written in previous accounts, in 1924, Lyle, his parents and siblings, were all born again while working on a section of Highway 66 in the Rolla, Missouri area. After he was born again, Luther made a decision to give up his work on the highway and return to Jasper County with his crew, walking away from a lucrative contract, and Doyle believes it was because his conscience would not allow him to continue "doing business as usual". It was around this time that Lyle became very sick with appendicitis and God showed him hell, three times. He told Doyle, "I wasn't just born again, I was converted." He told Doyle that after that experience he had a fear of God that he had never had, and he could no longer do certain things, because they were sin.

10) "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding, have all they that do his commandments."

It is the Father that "...hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation..." and God through Luther and Lyle, shaped Doyle's character. This testimony of 65 acres of wheat, offers insight into the the strength and character of the man God appointed to raise an apostle and prophet.

A Thanksgiving Afternoon with My Granddad, Frank Miller

Frank Miller was a son of Newell Miller, a Union Cavalryman four years in the Civil War. My grandmother, Minnie Miller said to me several times, “Oh Doyle, the war, it was so horrible.”

My grandfather, Frank Miller, was afflicted with arthritis and blindness. When he was forty years of age, his knees were arthritic and if he walked for any distance, he walked with a cane. He was a great friend to me. He was an excellent sandlot baseball pitcher. His catcher went to play for the Detroit Tigers and Granddad was offered a minor league signing, but he had two daughters and a wife and he refused. Men that were twenty years my seniors, played baseball with me and they played with my grandfather, told me how good he was.

One of the things that I will always remember about Granddad was that he was an expert marksman with a 12-gauge shotgun. One Thanksgiving when I was about eighteen, Grandpa and Grandma (that’s what I called them) were at our house for a Thanksgiving meal. After we had finished our typical Thanksgiving meal of turkey and all that went with it, Grandpa said, “Doyle, would you go hunting with me?” And we did, and my dad, Lyle Davidson went with us. We lived on a forty acre farm with eighty acres on our north, prairie with no buildings, and forty acres to our west on my friends’, which made 160 acres that I could hunt on any time. There was also another thousand that I could also hunt on any time because everyone knew me and trusted me.

There were bobwhite quail in that area and as Grandpa and Dad and I walked along a fence row, a single quail rose up and Granddad—so quick, with eyes that were bad, and me with him—one single quail, one shot with a twelve-gauge, hammer shotgun; that quail fell to the ground. Granddad was so quick with his hands, I’m sure that is where I got my quick hands.

My cousin, Jimmy Wallace has that shotgun and he deserves to have it. Jimmy and I are the only two grandsons of Frank, I’m the older.

Oh, but how Granddad Frank Miller could shoot with a twelve-gauge shot gun! I suppose it should be expected, his father Newell Miller was a Cavalryman in the Civil War.

I will always thank God for that Thanksgiving afternoon to watch him shoot that quail.

God Bless,
Doyle Davidson

Kathie Davidson - Interpretation (Tongue given by Kathie Davidson)

I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord, they are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Those days when you pray, I will listen and when you seek me you will find me when you look for me in earnest and I will be found of you and I will take you to the place that I have for you, I will put you on the top of a mountain and you will look out and see all that I have before you, all that was given to Abraham and you will see the beauty of my country, and you will see the sea and you will see the people and you will see my salvation in Israel, saith the Lord.

Doyle: “That’s for you.”

Kathie: “Wow.”

Doyle Davidson - Prophecy:

Now, the Lord would say to you, be patient in well doing, consider your ways, humble yourself and walk upright before me and I will surely bring to pass the words that I have just spoken through you.

A Life Lived Wholly Unto God - Chapter 18: Africa

A Testament of the Grace of God on His Servant
by Kathryn Currier with Doyle Davidson

Doyle’s mother shared with him in the 1970s that she always thought she should have been a missionary to Africa. That came as a surprise to Doyle—his mother was a quiet, reserved woman and he thought, “Mother, you can’t even get out of Sarcoxie!”

God sent him as an apostle and prophet to Africa January 1, 1985. Terry, Kathy and Patti went with him and he ministered there for two weeks in various cities in Zimbabwe, and Doyle recently stated that it was at that time that he and Terry became apostles, “sent to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils and raise the dead,” and from that time on his ministry to Africa grew.

Water of Life initially received requests from six people in Zimbabwe for teaching tapes in 1988. They sent them tapes #1 and #2 from the “Gospel and Its Benefits” and after that, requests for his teaching tapes progressed rapidly. Throughout 1989, they sent over 47,000 tapes to various ministries in Africa, as well as individuals upon their request. In 1990, they sent over 65,000 tapes and opened Water of Life offices in Harare, Zimbabwe, where they distributed books and tapes. Doyle maintained the offices there in Harare until 1994. During this period of time, Water of Life supplied tapes for over 750 pastors upon their request in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, Nigeria, Mozambique, Botswana, Kenya, Island of Mauritius, and Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo). These pastors sent pictures and information to Doyle that verified that they were established ministries. In 2004, God directed him to destroy all the teaching tapes and he began ministering and teaching from the internet.

During the two weeks they ministered in Zimbabwe they saw many miracles and following is one of the many testimonies:

“The first night I was there, God brought a blind man to us. We laid hands on him, and God healed his eyes. He took the Bible and read it. Glory be to Jesus! I was so naïve that I just handed him a Bible and said, ‘Read.’ I did not even know if the man could read. I never thought that he might not be able to read. He started reading that Bible. Five minutes before he could not see anything.

The second night, God healed more people. The third day, Sunday, God said, ‘Now you are going to do what I sent you over here for. You are going to preach prosperity to these people,’ and we cut loose.

We had a six hour service one Sunday, and I spoke three of those six hours—an hour and a half on faith and the next hour and a half on prosperity. Those people never moved out of their seats. I did not know I could speak that long.

I preached the gospel—prosperity—to people who had never heard it. Our host said, ‘I have heard many people preach 2 Corinthians 8, but I have never seen what it says.” (From The Gospel is Always a Blessing)

Doyle had met Ezekiel Guti in Israel when God directed Doyle to lead a tour there in 1984, just prior to his trip to Africa. A number of Water of Life people accompanied him, including Patti, Terry and Kathy Mai, and Bruce and Debbie Geer. Doyle, Kathy and Debbie were in the Garden Tomb along with Ezekiel and two other black women when the power of God began to shake everyone in there. No one knew at the time that it was a divine appointment.

Later as Doyle and the rest were mingling around the Garden, Ron Kepler, an Assemblies of God minister, part of Doyle’s group, met Ezekiel and told him his pastor (Doyle) was coming to Zimbabwe in January the next year. Ezekiel asked, “Where is he going?” and Ron responded, “Forward in Faith Ministries.” Ron didn’t know who he was talking to—Ezekiel was president of Forward in Faith Ministries (FIFM). Only when Ron identified Doyle as a former veterinarian did Ezekiel know who he was talking about. Doyle and Ezekiel then talked a few minutes and he asked Doyle to move his arrival date up to January 1st , which he did. Only God could arrange for two men, from separate continents, to meet at the Garden Tomb in Israel, the same place He had called Doyle into the ministry 10 years earlier. God had two world leaders of the Body of Christ meet in the Garden Tomb, one Doyle Davidson, and the other Ezekiel Guti; interesting enough, one is white, the other is black just as the leaders at Azusa Street.

One afternoon, years later, Ezekiel Guti was in the United States and Doyle was driving him back to the airport when Ezekiel said: “You’re a very bold man.” Never taking his eyes off the road Doyle replied, “Jesus died, was buried and rose again the third day.” Ezekiel said again, “You’re a very bold man.” And again, never looking at him, Doyle said, “Jesus died, was buried and rose again the third day.” After the third time, Ezekiel said, “That’s the gospel, why don’t we preach it?” Doyle replied, “I don’t know,” although in his heart were the words, “Why don’t you?” but he could not say them.

Ezekiel called Doyle some time later and told him he was making 3000 tapes of what the gospel is, and giving them to 3000 ministers in Africa. Today, Ezekiel’s ministry, FIFM, is in over 100 countries and states all over the world and the gospel is being preached; the results of a divine appointment.

Jesus Rules Through Praise and Worship

In 1991 during the first Gulf War the Spirit of God instructed me to meet every night for worship during the duration of the war. We met every night and as long as we met, the United States did not lose one plane. I stopped worship for three nights and several planes were shot down. God spoke to me and said, “Now get back to worshipping me and you will rule in the midst of this war.”

Prior to the beginning of the Gulf War, I taught for 10 weeks out of Jeremiah 51 and 52. Jeremiah prophesied about the war:

19) The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance; the Lord of hosts is his name.

20) Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war; for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;

21) And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;

When Operation Desert Shield began in the Persian Gulf in January 1991, I spoke publicly that the Iraqis would not fight. God had shown me that, as I read Jeremiah’s words. The Iraqis did not fight. Time after time, the Iraqis soldiers would hold up a flag of surrender, lay down their weapons and surrender to our troops, or they would turn and run.

30) “The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their hold; their might hath failed; they became as women; they have burned her dwelling places; her bars are broken.

31) One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,

32) And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.

33) For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her; yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.”

It was incredible to watch the words of Jeremiah being performed in the news headlines.

Our praise and worship is according to Psalm 149:

6) “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hand;

7) To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

8) To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9) To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.”

God has shown me and proven to me, that through our praise and worship, Jesus Christ in us rules to fulfill the purposes of God in the earth; through our praise and worship Jesus Christ in us, accomplishes the words of Psalm 149.

God Bless,
Doyle
