Making of A Prophet - Ice Cream, Deliverance and Healing

Testimonies of Doyle Davidson

I have a testimony I want to share with you. I was in Argyle and a lady called me and wanted to know if she could talk to me. “Of course,” I said. She came to my house and she said, “I need to talk to you” and I could tell she was an unhappy person. I said, “Well, let me get a bowl of ice cream first.” I don’t eat ice cream very often but sometimes I just think its right just to let the devil know he can’t mess with my enjoyment of eating ice cream. I got it, put it in a dish, walked over and sat down and said, “What can I do for you?” She said, “I’m leaving my husband.” “No you’re not, you’re going home to him, you hear me?” Tore her heart apart. That’s the way God talks sometimes to rebellious women.

In 1976, I got out of Argyle (I thought I was one step from heaven, I might have been, I don’t know) and moved to Carrollton, Texas and I was praying. My grandfather on mother’s side was about forty when his knees became very sore. He had arthritis in them and from then on, if he had to walk any distance he usually had to use a cane. People would say to me, “Well you know your grandfather’s knees went out when he was about forty,” and of course the devil said, “And yours will too.” I had gotten out of Argyle and that was enough and I’m living in Carrollton and I liked to walk and I still do. I walk in the fellowship hall a lot, in fact I came down here last night after having dinner, (KD came with me) and I walked for an hour; I am not weak, nor do I quit.

It was June 1976 in Carrollton and I went out one evening to walk, about 4:00 or 5:00, late afternoon, early evening and my knees started hurting. I was walking on concrete, on the sidewalk (I wasn’t afraid to walk on asphalt or concrete) and my knees hurt, they hurt so bad and I started speaking Isaiah 53:4-5. “Surely you have bore my sicknesses and carried my pains, yet I did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted, but he was wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement of my peace was upon him and with his stripes I was healed.” I walked two miles speaking that with all that was in me and people looked at me like “This guy is nuts.” I got back home and my knees hurt all night.

The next morning when I got up I said, “Devil, at 4:00 I’m going for a walk, get it straight!” Four o’clock, out walking, “Surely you have bore my sicknesses, carried my pains, yet I did esteem him stricken and smitten of God and afflicted, but he was wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities and the chastisement of my peace was upon him and with his stripes I was healed.” After about a mile and a half, the power of God hit my knees and healed them— 1976—you know they haven’t hurt since? They are free too. That’s the power of God. I jogged for years on asphalt, concrete and I will again. Oh I will—you will see me jogging up Eighteenth Street in Plano—don’t faint, it will be me. Glory! When God does something, He does a good job; no, He does a perfect job. My knees don’t hurt ever, I don’t have any of this medial ligament problems folks, for you joggers that are scared to jog, afraid any moment that you are going to go lame, you’re lame in the head, that’s your problem.

Loose them from fear, in Jesus name! Set them free! Fear, doubt, unbelief, let them go! Turn them loose Satan! Loose them! Loose them! Turn them loose now, in Jesus name!
