We Shall Go Out With Joy

And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. II Chronicles 20:22

The First Iraqi War. Iraq had invaded Kuwait August 2, 1990. It was met with international outrage and President George H. Bush called for a large coalition of forces to join the United States in expelling the Iraqi troops. Over thirty countries joined the coalition.

Ten Sunday mornings in a row, before the invasion of the Coalition forces, God had me teaching out of Jeremiah 51 and 52. In these chapters you will find Jeremiah states the Iraqis would not fight, but surrender. That is what I taught and that is what happened. On January 17 the war began. We knew people there on the ground. The Iraqis would just come up and surrender to them. The word of God is truth.

Our schedule was to meet the first four days of the week for praise and worship and we continued that once the invasion started. But when we didn’t meet for three days several of our allied planes were shot down. God said to me, “Now praise and worship me to the end!” We did.

God directed me to send a telegram to President Bush using the same words that Elisha spoke to the King of Israel in II Kings 13:

17 And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the LORD's deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them. 

18 And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.

19 And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

I then added to smite the Iraqis till they were consumed.

He could have gone right in to Baghdad and wiped them out but he turned back. We had to finish the job 12 years later with his son, George W. Bush.

Out of 697,000 personnel sent from the United States for the First Gulf War, America lost only 148 due to battle related deaths. Of the 545,000 Iraqi troops their casualties are estimated at 35,000. The Word of God is truth.

Nine Additional Apostles Appointed. Terry Mai came to Plano, Texas with me, and we ministered until 1985 as a prophet, teachers, worship leader and so forth. In January 1985 Terry and Kathy Mai, Patty Davidson, and myself flew into Zimbabwe being sent by the Holy Ghost. That is where Terry Mai and I became apostles, healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, casting out devils, and raising the dead. It came by the Spirit it was a time to appoint other apostles. Nine were appointed, you will hear about them later. They needed to be ministered to, to make apostles out of them before they could be sent very far.

For you see in Matthew chapter 10 Jesus chose twelve apostles, sent them out and they didn’t have a revelation of the Gospel when He sent them. He preached the Gospel unto them, which up to then they had no understanding of, look at Luke 24:

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 

48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 

49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. 

Understand Jesus said not to leave until you can walk in the power. (The problem with the church is people receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and they think they are ready to go preach. People that think like that are headed for disaster. God prepares a person for ministry before he sends them).

Is There Not a Cause? After the initial 36 preachers that I sent our five books to, I sent out sets to a group of other well-known ministers and local preachers also. Then in January as I was considering all the responses and the actions of these ministries to the books God had me write, the Lord spoke these words to me; "Is there not a cause?" I knew that statement referred to David as he spoke to his brothers concerning Goliath. This is my perception; I believe that this group of ministers were like Goliath in our land and I was like David meeting him.

Only Lester Sumrall became a real friend of mine.

Opening our Offices in Harare. We continued to support Africa with finances. This year we sent our five books, tapes and opened offices in Harare. Steddie Muserera was our office manager; he was the brother of Lazarus. He had a local ministry in Harare, where he distributed tapes and books from the office upon request, and generally was an ambassador for my ministry.

We established home churches in April.
