Publishing the First Five Books. In the 1990’s God directed me to have several of my teaching tapes transcribed into book form. Wally Edge and Randy Brooks joined the staff at the ministry to work on the publication. Even in transcribing, they experienced the power of God as they were taking the words from the tapes and changing them into text. What was printed were five books initially; "Jesus Did the Father’s Will", "The Gospel is Always a Blessing", "Jesus on the Cross", "God’s Plan of Reconciliation" and "He Rose Again". ("What is the Gospel" was later added in 1997.) Fiftythousand books were printed and all given away to people in America, Africa, and other parts of the world. Now, after twenty years, they are available again, just like they were then, free of charge. After the publishing of these first five books the Lord directed me to send a set to each of 36 well known preachers. I did as He directed along with a short letter stating "The Spirit of the Lord has directed me to make these books available for your reading. I pray that you will do as Paul requested Timothy in II Timothy 2:7; Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. In His Service, Doyle Davidson"
The replies I received in return were incredible. Except for very few, such as Jamie Buckingham, the responses were not even relevant to my letter. There was some continuing correspondence at the Lord's direction to several ministries that ended in them being highly offended at my response. Their actions over the course of time became instrumental in getting me removed from several TV stations.
Opening of the West Side Church. God directed me to open a sanctuary at 4011 West Plano Parkway. He did it for a couple of reasons. It was done to enable me to overcome the witchcrafts of all the people. We held Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening services at both locations. I would minister in both places as the Lord directed me.
Another reason for God to lead me to open the West Side location was to deal with the City of Plano and overcome the spirit of this city. Ephesians 6 states;
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,
Principalities being governments. It was a real test of faith, prayer, and perseverance. They had all kinds of restrictions about parking for the church but after much steadfastness the permit was granted.
