Making of a Prophet

For years I would hear God tell me I was a prophet. During the same time I would hear lying spirits in the mouths of false prophets say that God would use you as a prophet for a time but you were not a prophet. One day I said to God, “I am not a prophet, my dad was not a prophet, my grandfather was not a prophet.” The Lord replied, “Someone else said that before you. Turn to Amos 7”:

14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:

15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

That helped my unbelief a little; a small amount.  But God continued to talk to me that I was a prophet of His.

Look for other testimonies on this blog entitled "Making of a Prohpet" to see how God convinced me that I was a prophet.

God bless,
