A Victory Over Satan in the Heavens
Original Posting: March 27, 2015
Yesterday afternoon it was in my spirit to contact Weldon Parks. I have not spoken to him since the 1990’s. He is now a recently retired dentist. Weldon was a very good friend of mine. In the 1970’s I had a home bible study and he with his family attended for a period of time. Weldon Parks provided his dentist office in Lewisville for a place for... George Ferrell, Dennis Birdsong, Butch Irwin, himself, and me to pray.
I had encountered much tribulation and persecution for several years. I believe it was late 1974 or 1975 when we met in that office to pray. On this particular day we prayed for about forty-five minutes then my statement was, “I’m going to get a drink of water and then we are going to pray.” One of the men replied, “I thought we had been praying.” I had no response.
As we began again to pray I could sense in my spirit God was leading me to a victory. After about thirty minutes I started to pray, “I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus, all my sins are forgiven, I am justified, sanctified, and made righteous by the blood of Jesus.” I know righteousness is a gift but it comes through the blood. Now I was sure in my spirit that I was ready to speak something that I was not at all familiar with. I said, “I address the chief ruler over Dallas and Fort Worth Texas in the name of Jesus.” I kept addressing that chief ruler over Dallas and Fort Worth Texas; I never would change my words, just kept repeating that statement. Faith and power kept building in my heart.
In a few minutes I saw a grey ceiling made of what looked like concrete in the Spirit. I was encouraged and kept addressing that chief ruler. Suddenly I saw a crack form in that concrete ceiling. When I saw the crack I was more encouraged to keep praying. Then either side of the crack began to lift and in a few seconds both sides stood straight up. One of the men praying with me said, “Goodness, you just broke through concrete!” I thought to myself, that is exactly what it looked like.
Lamentations 3
1 I Am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
2 He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.
3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
4 My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
5 He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
6 He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
7 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
9 He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
10 He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.
11 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
12 He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
14 I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.
15 He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.
16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
17 And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.
18 And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the Lord:
19 Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
This describes in many ways the situation I was in. Notice verse 8, “He shutteth out my prayer”.
Following that day there was a gradual change in my daily activities and the darkness began to fade.
I will always remember and thank God for these four men.
God bless,
